Regional Commissioner District Freiburg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The state commissioner district of Freiburg was after the law on the organization of the Internal Administration from October 5, 1863 one of four national commissioner districts in Baden based in Freiburg .

history

The previous four districts were dissolved and the now 59 district offices were subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior. As a supervisory authority, the state district offices and the new districts trained as self-governing organizations were assigned four state commissioners with the rank of ministerial councilors as supervisory bodies. The tasks of the state commissioners were included in the executive ordinance of the laws on the organization of internal administration; in particular the establishment and responsibility of the authorities and the procedure concerning July 12, 1864.

The former director of the government of the Upper Rhine District , Friedrich Theodor Schaaff , was appointed as the first state commissioner by Grand Duke Friedrich I on July 11, 1864 . He was responsible for the districts of Lörrach, Waldshut and Freiburg. After Schaaf's retirement on October 8, 1866, the Waldshut district was transferred to the Constance district commissioner. For this purpose, the district of Offenburg came to the regional commissioner district of Freiburg.

In addition to the regional commissioner district Freiburg, there was also the regional commissioner district Konstanz , the regional commissioner district Karlsruhe and the provincial commissioner district Mannheim .
