Parliament

In the plenary session of March 4, 1912, the state parliament was dissolved by the Minister of State on the basis of a decree by the Prince of March 2, 1912. New elections therefore had to take place. This state election took place on June 7, 1912. The SPD retained nine MPs and thus an absolute majority. Four seats went to National Liberals and two to Conservative candidates. A candidate from the German Progressive People's Party was elected.

Due to the First World War , laws of March 27, 1915, November 19, 1915, November 2, 1916 and December 8, 1917 led to an extension of the electoral term. The last renewal was on March 31, 1919.
