Larissa Nikolajewna Kruglowa ( Russian Лариса Николаевна Круглова , English transcription Larisa Kruglova ; born October 27, 1972 in Murmansk ) is a Russian sprinter . As a single starter, she mainly appeared in the 60-meter run and the 100-meter run , but celebrated her greatest successes as a member of the Russian 4-by-100-meter relay .
Life
In 2002 she was sixth over 60 m at the European Indoor Championships in Vienna . At the European Championships in Munich , she started over 100 m, but was eliminated in the preliminary round. With the season, however, she reached the finals. Together with Natalja Ignatowa , Julija Tabakowa and Irina Chabarowa , she won the bronze medal behind the teams from France and Germany in a time of 43.11 seconds .
At the World Athletics Championships in 2003 in Paris / Saint-Denis, she again won the bronze medal with the relay. She placed together with Olga Fjodorowa , Julija Tabakowa and Marina Kislowa in a time of 42.66 s behind the squadrons of France and the United States .
Kruglowa celebrated the greatest success of her career at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens together with Olga Fjodorowa, Julija Tabakowa and Irina Chabarowa. With a time of 42.27 s, the quartet took the silver medal behind the team from Jamaica . As with the previous medal wins, Kruglowa was again the last runner of her relay this time. She also started in Athens in the 100-meter run, but was eliminated in the quarter-finals.
In 2005, she first finished fifth in the 60-meter run at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Madrid . In the summer in Helsinki she only reached the quarter-finals at the World Championships in Helsinki over 100 m. Even with the season she missed the finals this time. At the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Moscow in 2006 , she was seventh over 60 m.
Larissa Kruglowa is 1.66 m tall and weighs 63 kg.
