Olga Olegowna Stulnewa , née Olga Olegowna Fjodorowa ( Russian Ольга Олеговна Стульнева , born Фёдорова; born July 14, 1983 in Sverdlovsk ) is a former Russian sprinter and bobsledder. She took part for Russia once in the Summer Olympics and twice in the Winter Olympics . It is run by the IAAF under the name Olga Fyodorova and by the IBSF under the name Olga Fedorova or Olga Stulneva .

She took part in the 2002 World Junior Athletics Championships in Kingston and started there in the 100-meter run . She was eliminated in the semi-finals and is rated 24th. A year later she took part for Russia at the World Athletics Championships 2003 in the Stade de France . She was not used in an individual competition. For this she formed the Russian relay in the 4 x 100 meter relay with Marina Kislowa , Larissa Kruglowa and Julija Tabakowa . In the finals, the Russian season took third place behind the hosts and the United States.

On June 6, 2004 she ran a new personal best over the 200 meters at the Tula All Russian Competitions in Tula with 23.19 seconds. During this time, she finished fifth in the race. In the same year she was nominated by the Olimpijski komitet Rossii as part of the Russian 4 x 100 meter relay for the 2004 Summer Olympics and formed the Russian on August 26 and 27, 2004 together with Irina Chabarowa , Larissa Kruglowa and Julija Tabakowa Season. After the team qualified as the second fastest for the final, they won the silver medal in the final behind the US relay.

On January 18, 2015, she set her personal best over the 100 meters at the Firenze SPAR European Cup. With a time of 11.21 seconds she took second place in the competition and improved her best performance by 0.04 seconds. On July 10, 2005 she was able to win the Russian championship in the 100-meter run for the first and only time. In Tula she prevailed with a time of 11.25 seconds. Between August 6 and 14, 2005, she took part in the 2005 World Athletics Championships in the Helsinki Olympic Stadium . For the first time, she was allowed to take part in the 100-meter World Championships . In the semifinals she was eliminated from the competition and is listed in 13th place. A Russian 4 x 100 meter relay was not at the start at the World Championships. In addition, she was able to win the Russian 100-meter championship for the first and only time. This made the 100-meter semifinal run her last competition listed by the IAAF. Then she ended her athletics career.

After she had finished her athletics career, she switched to bobsleigh and trained as a pilot. At the beginning of her bobsleigh career, however, she was initially active as a pusher between 2006 and 2008. She was only active as a pilot from the 2008/09 season.

In the 2006/07 season she was pushing Viktorija Tokowaja in the Bobsleigh World Cup . On December 1, 2006, she made her debut in the Bobsleigh World Cup and finished sixth with Tokowaja in Calgary . Their best result of the season they finished a week later on December 8, 2006 in Park City in fifth place. At the Olympia Bobrun St. Moritz – Celerina she took part in the bobsleigh and skeleton world championships for the first time. Together with Tokovaya, she finished ninth at the 2007 Bobsleigh World Cup .

In the 2007/08 season she was used as a pusher by various starters. At the World Cup opening in Calgary she started with Kowalenko and the two were able to take ninth place. At the Bobsleigh Junior World Championships 2007 on the artificial ice rink Bob-Rodel Igls , she and the pilot Anastassija Tambowzewa won the bronze medal behind Switzerland and Germany. At the Bobsleigh World Championships in 2008 she was again with Viktorija Tokovaya at the start and both finished the competition in 14th place.

For the 2008/09 season she changed position and was no longer active as a pusher, but as a pilot. She made her debut as a pilot on November 20, 2008 in Innsbruck-Igls in the European Bobsleigh Cup. She finished the competition in 17th place. She achieved her best result in the European Cup on the Winterberg Hochsauerland bobsleigh run . On December 6, 2008, she took seventh place. After taking part in the Junior World Championships as a pusher a year ago, she now took part in the 2008 Junior World Championships as a pilot together with her pusher Ljudmila Udobkina and was able to take third place behind Switzerland and Germany on the Königssee artificial ice rink . She made her debut as a pilot in the Bobsleigh World Cup on February 6, 2009 in Whistler , finishing in 19th place. At the end of the season she finished 24th in the overall World Cup.

On December 19, 2009, she was able to achieve a top 15 result as a pilot for the first time on the Altenberg racing sledge and bobsleigh track with her 12th place. A week later, a team competition was held at Königssee , in which she was part of the second Russian team. This team took sixth and last place. She qualified for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and was also nominated for the Games by the Olimpijski komitet Rossii . In the Whistler Sliding Center , she and her pusher Julija Timofejewa took 18th place as the second Russian women's bobsleigh .

She started the 2010/11 season in the European Cup and celebrated her first and only podium in the European Cup on November 20, 2010. Behind Sabina Hafner from Switzerland and Anja Schneiderheinze from Germany, she took third place in Innsbruck . She completed her last race in the European Cup on December 16, 2010 and finished fifth. On January 15, 2011 another team competition in the Bobsleigh World Cup was held and the Russian team took third place behind Canada and Austria. At the Olympia Bobrun St. Moritz – Celerina on January 29, 2011 she was able to achieve a top 10 result in the World Cup for the first time with ninth place. At the World Championships in Königssee she was 12th and with the Russian team she took fifth place in the team competition. On March 31, 2011, she started in the North American Cup for the first time and was able to win in Lake Placid ahead of Elana Meyers Taylor and Fabienne Meyer .

On December 3, 2011 she was able to take third place with the Russian team in the team competition and together with her push-puller Julija Timofejewa she achieved her best result at the World Cup in La Plagne, France . They took sixth place in the race on the La Plagne bobsleigh and sled run. In addition, they finished together with Margarita Ismailowa at the Bobsleigh World Championship 2011 in Lake Placid with the eleventh place, the best result at a world championship.

After she married the Russian bobsleigh pilot Alexei Stulnew , she no longer competed under her maiden name Olga Olegovna Fyodorova , but under the name Olga Olegovna Stulnewa in the 2012/13 season . Because of the “name change” she is listed as two athletes by the IBSF . After she had finished twelfth at the World Championships together with Margarita Ismailowa , she was able to take seventh place at the World Cup on her home track in Sochi .

The 2013/14 Olympic season began with competitions in the North American Cup. In Calgary she won the race on February 14, 2013 in front of her teammate Anastassija Tambowzewa and Bree Schaaf from the United States. A day later she took second place behind Anastassija Tambovzewa. On December 7, 2013, she finished sixth in the World Cup race in Park City and thus set her best World Cup result. She was able to qualify for her third Olympic Games and her second Winter Olympic Games. She was also nominated for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi by the Olimpijski komitet Rossii and finished the race in ninth place together with her pusher Lyudmila Udobkina . On November 24, 2017, she was stripped of ninth place by the IOC for violating the doping guidelines . In contrast, the IBSF continues to rank it ninth. She ended her career after the Olympic Games. The World Cup on the artificial ice rink Bob-Rodel Igls , in which she had finished sixth, was her last race in the Bobsleigh World Cup .
