Location of Laubhütte in Lower Saxony

Laubhütte is a district of the municipality of Bad Grund (Harz) in the district of Göttingen . The next largest city is Osterode am Harz .

location

Laubhütte is only a few hundred meters south of the core town of Bad Grund on the western edge of the Harz Mountains . In the western area are the districts of Gittelde with Teichhütte , Badenhausen with Neu- and Oberhütte , Eisdorf and Willensen , which also belong to Bad Grund (Harz) . Tabernacle is surrounded by forest.

The district is on a country road that leads to Windhausen , two kilometers to the southwest .

history

The earliest written document is from 1544 and reads "Laupitz", which can be traced back to an East Westphalian form of Lô-bek and could be called Waldbach . The village was probably designated more precisely by a well-known locality ( e.g. a Laupitzhütte , syncopated to Laubhütte) in contrast to the field name .

In the place was the restaurant / hotel "Laubhütte", which once stood on the border between the historic states of Hanover and Braunschweig , which was established on October 4, 1786 .

Up to July 1, 1959, eight developed properties in Laubhütte belonged to the then still independent community of Windhausen in the district of Gandersheim (administrative district of Braunschweig). Only after the reorganization decided on March 17, 1959, it was incorporated into the mining town of Bad Grund in the Zellerfeld district (Hildesheim district).

With the transformation of the combined community Bad Grund (Harz) into a unified community on March 1, 2013, Laubhütte became an independent district of the newly created unified community together with Taubenborn and the mountain town of Bad Grund (Harz).

Local councilor and local mayor

At the municipal level, Laubhütte is represented by the local council of the mountain town of Bad Grund (Harz).
