Laura Stumper (now Laura Robertson ; born June 6, 1984 in Singen ) is a German table tennis player . She is German champion in doubles as well as European youth champion in singles and with the team.

She was able to win several medals in the international youth field. In 1998 she won the European team championship among the students in Norcia, in the individual she took silver. In 2000 she won gold with the German team at the European Youth Championships in Bratislava, and a year later she became European Champion in singles.
In 1997 she won all three disciplines in school competitions at the German Championship in Hohenschönhausen (Berlin): singles, doubles (with Irene Ivancan ) and mixed (with Jörg Schlichter ). A year later she was again German student champion in individual. In 1997 and 1998 she won the national ranking tournament TOP-12 for students.
She also achieved multiple successes at German youth championships: 1998 in mixed silver (with Jörg Schlichter), 1999 in double silver (with Jessica Göbel ), 2000 in double silver (with Irene Ivancan) and 2000 gold in singles.
At the top 12 youth ranking tournament in 1999 in Mülheim-Kärlich, she was unbeaten in first place. At the age of 11 she was signed by Spvgg. 07 Ludwigsburg for the 2nd Bundesliga.
Active
Among the active players, she took part in the German championship for the first time as a twelve-year-old. She finished second in doubles at the 2000 French Open. When she moved to Böblingen in 1997, she was the youngest player in the 1st Bundesliga .
Between 2001 and 2005 she was five times in a row in the final of the German championships in women's doubles, in 2002 she won the title (together with Tanja Hain-Hofmann ).
Laura Stumper had her first appearance in the national team on September 25, 2001 in the Europa League match against Croatia, where she defeated Andrea Bobetic 2-0. Internationally she represented Germany in 2003 and 2004 at world championships, the best place was a sixth place with the team in 2004, as well as several times at European championships ; there were the best placings of the European runner-up title with the team in 2002 and reaching the quarter-finals in 2003 . She made a total of 17 international matches.
Stumper is currently (July 2007) a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr . In 2010 she joined the women's Bundesliga team from Hassia Bingen (since 2011 TTG Bingen / Münster-Sarmsheim ). Earlier clubs were TTC Engen (until 1995), Spvgg 07 Ludwigsburg (1995–1996; 2nd BL; balance 26:23), MTV Stuttgart (1996–1997; balance 33: 9), SV Böblingen (from 1997) and TV Busenbach (from 1999). In April 2009, she finished seventh in the German ranking. Since 2018 she has been playing for the Swiss first division club TTC Neuhausen .
Private
Laura comes from a table tennis family. Her father Rudolf Stumper was a Bundesliga player in the 1980s, her mother Judith (birth name Borbely) - a native Romanian, later Judith Patouliou - won the German doubles championship in 1986. Laura's brother Kay Stumper won the national finals of the mini championships in 2011 and became German student champion in 2014. In 1987 her parents separated, after which she lived with her father. On May 17, 2008 she married Adam Robertson, an international from Wales. Since then she has competed under the name Laura Robertson .
