The Lausheimer Weiher area is a protected landscape area (LSG number 4.37.004) designated by ordinance of January 16, 1963 in the area of ​​the Baden-Württemberg community of Ostrach in the Sigmaringen district in Germany .

location

The approximately 58 hectare protected area Lausheimer Weiher naturally belongs to the Danube-Ablach-Platten . It is located around five and a half kilometers northwest of the center of Ostrach, below the suburb of the same name Lausheim , at an average altitude of 614  m above sea level. NN .

Protection purpose

Essential protective purpose is to preserve the Lausheimer pond  - originally from the monastery Habsthal applied as a single fish pond waters of this type and size in the area - as well as the surrounding forest, agricultural and riparian areas for landing areas typical plants.
