On January 1, 2016, Le Bény-Bocage was incorporated into the new municipality of Souleuvre en Bocage as a district as part of a regional reform together with 19 neighboring municipalities, which, like Le Bény-Bocage, all belonged to the disbanded municipal association Bény-Bocage . Le Bény-Bocage is the “parent district” of Souleuvre en Bocage.
