Sainte-Marie-Laumont is a former French community with 694 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017), the Laumontais , in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy .

On January 1, 2016, Sainte-Marie-Laumont was incorporated into the new municipality of Souleuvre en Bocage as a district as part of a territorial reform together with 19 neighboring municipalities, which, like Sainte-Marie-Laumont, all belonged to the disbanded municipality of Bény-Bocage .

Sainte-Marie-Laumont is about nine kilometers north of Vire-Normandie . The local area is bounded in the north, northeast and east by the Vire .
