The league format was the same as in the previous year : First, the twelve teams played a round of rounds. The best six teams qualified for the championship round, while the remaining six teams fought for relegation in the relegation round. A round-trip was played, points from the preliminary round were taken.

The three-point rule was applied for the first time .
