Lee Farr

Lee Farr (* 10. April 1927 as Leon color in New York City ; † 23. March 2017 in Woodland Hills , California ) was an American actor .

Life

Farr grew up in Brooklyn and joined the United States Navy after graduating from high school . He then studied geophysics at Penn State University . However, he only practiced the profession of geologist briefly, and instead turned to acting. In 1957 he had his first guest role in a television series, and his feature film debut, albeit in a role not mentioned in the credits, came only a little later. Between 1958 and 1960 he was seen in five feature films, all of which, however, belonged to the genre of B-movie . In the meantime, he appeared on television in various western series such as West of Santa Fé . In 1959 he got the role of Detective Lt. Jim Conway on the ABC crime series No FBI Case . At the side of Robert Taylor, however, he only appeared in the first of a total of three seasons.

He received no other film roles in the years that followed, but continued to guest star on series such as Cobra, Take Over , Emergency California, and Detective Rockford - Call Enough until the 1970s . In the Perry Mason lawyer series , he appeared in five different guest roles between 1961 and 1965. In addition to his film and television roles, Farr also played theater , in Los Angeles he was on stage in productions of Death of a Salesman and Julius Caesar, among others .

Farr was married to actress Felicia Farr from 1949 to 1955 . The marriage produced a daughter who later married the actor Don Gordon .
