The Leimbach is a right-hand or eastern tributary of the weirs and runs entirely in the area of ​​the municipality of Wehretal in the Werra-Meißner district ( Hesse , Germany ).

The source is located south of the Blauen Kuppe in the nature reserve of the same name at an altitude of approx. 288 meters. The direction of flow is southwest to Langenhain . There the Leimbach swings in a north-westerly direction towards Reichensachsen and flows into the weirs on the western edge of the village. Here it overcomes a height difference of 90 meters and flows over a distance of 3.7 kilometers.
