Leon Russom

Leon Russom (born December 6, 1941 in Little Rock , Arkansas ) is an American actor .

Life

Leon Russom grew up as an orphan in several foster families in Arkansas. After graduating from high school at the age of 15, he studied at Rhodes College . From 1964 to 1966 he studied acting at the Drama Center London . He then moved to New York City and made his Broadway debut with The Promise in 1967 . After he starred in several television series in individual episodes, he made his debut in the 1972 and directed by Gordon Davidson drama The Trial of the Catonsville Nine on the side of Donald Moffat and William Schallert on the screen. Russom was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the drama Longing Without Borders . Although he starred in small supporting roles in well-known films such as Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Land , The Big Lebowski and True Grit , it was his portrayal of General Jonathan Krantz in the hit television series Prison Break that earned him international fame.

Russom was married to actress Karen Grassle for a while. Since the divorce, he has been married to Daphne Russom, with whom he has one child.
