Leonhard Horowski (* 1972 in Berlin ) is a German historian , author and journalist . He became famous in 2017 with his book Das Europa der Könige about the courtly society of the 17th and 18th centuries, which was nominated for the non-fiction prize of the Leipzig Book Fair 2017.

Life

Leonhard Horowski grew up as the son of a doctor in Berlin-Frohnau . After graduating from high school in 1991, he studied history , politics and English studies in Durham and at the Free University of Berlin and completed his studies with a Magister Artium . He later did his doctorate in history at the Technical University of Berlin , trained prospective diplomats as a lecturer and appeared at the television station Phoenix as an expert on love and family life in European dynasties . In 2017, Horowski was a guest at ZDF with Markus Lanz and with3 to 9 . Horowski is a guest author of the weekly newspaper Die Zeit .
