Leonhard Lennartz

Leonhard Lennartz (* 10. June 1896 in Kalterherberg , † 5. April 1976 in Eschweiler ) was social democratic politicians and district administrator of the district of Aachen .

Life

After attending elementary school, Leonhard Lennartz worked professionally as a conductor, driver and operations inspector. After the Second World War he was employed as traffic manager for the tram in Eschweiler from 1945/1946 to 1961.

Leonhard Lennartz was married and had two children.

Political activity

Leonhard Lennartz belonged to the newly formed district council of the Aachen district from its beginning (March 20, 1946). At the age of 73, he retired on November 8, 1969. During this time he worked for three terms of office as an honorary district administrator (1st term from June 18, 1953 to November 26, 1954; 2nd term from October 28, 1956 to March 18, 1961; 3rd term from September 27, 1964 to November 8, 1954) November 1969). In addition to his political activities in the Aachen district, Lennartz was a member of the NRW district assembly : 1957–1960 deputy member of the constitutional committee, 1957–1961 deputy member of the water committee, 1957–1961 economic and water committee, 1957–1961 deputy member of the board, 1960–1961 Constitutional Committee, 1964–1969 alternate member of the Economic and Transport Committee, 1964–1969 Health Committee and Social Committee. He was also a member of the Regional Assembly of the Rhineland Regional Council .
