Wienand Ungermann

Wienand Ungermann (* 27. August 1895 in Alsdorf , † 24. June 1969 in Übach-Palenberg ) was the first district of the district Aachen after the Second World War .

Life

Wienand Ungermann attended the Aachen mountain school, which he left with the senior climbing license . After the First World War he was first from 1919 to 1922 on the coal - mine Anna 2 employed as a first measuring Steiger. From there he moved to the Sophia-Jacoba colliery in Hückelhoven in the same position until 1926 . From 1926 until the National Socialists came to power in 1933, Ungermann worked as the regional manager of the regional association of German war invalids and survivors of the Rhineland. Before he returned to mining as the first surveyor until 1942, as a member of the Eschweiler Reserve. After an accident, he was retired on March 31, 1944.

After the war ended, the Aachen district became part of the British zone of occupation . On October 10, 1945 the military government instructed Ungermann to prepare the "formation of a district representation". The aim was to decentralize the political structure on a “democratic basis”. In the course of this, on November 3, 1945, the military government was presented with a list of candidate candidates for the newly established district council, from which it formed the 57-member body. Ungermann's task ended with its quorum. On March 1, 1946, Johann Ernst , who was still appointed by the military government, became the new district administrator. The district council formed under Ungermann confirmed Ernst on March 20, 1946.
