Georg Bernhard Albert Hasenclever (born on 8. December 1817 in Ehringshausen , died on 24. August 1904 in Aachen ) was a Prussian administrative officer and district administrator of the district of Aachen , as well as representation of the circles Kleve and Bromberg .

Life and career

Georg Hasenclever was the son of the businessman David Hasenclever and Henriette, nee. Schlosser and brother of Richard Hasenclever, member of the Reichstag . After attending grammar school in Koblenz , he studied law and camera science at the universities in Bonn and Berlin (1836–1840). Subsequently, he entered on June 12, 1840 as an auscultator at the city court in Berlin , where he was also appointed court trainee on April 26, 1843 . Returning to the Rhine Province , Hasenclever changed to the Düsseldorf government on July 26, 1843 . From there, he was charged with the administration of the Kleve district for the period from May 1, 1846 to January 1, 1847, before taking over the administration of the Bromberg district in the same way from July 13, 1848 to February 15, 1849 directed. When he was appointed government assessor , he moved to the Aachen government on February 11, 1850 . As a result of the appointment of Franz Carl Hasslacher to the management of the Aachen urban district , Georg Hasenclever was temporarily transferred to his previous position as district administrator of the Aachen district on July 3, 1850. His final appointment followed on October 17, 1853. On December 31, 1882, he retired after 29 years in office. Previously, by decree of November 22, 1882, he was given the characterization of a Privy Councilor by the highest authority . Hasenclever is the Aachen district administrator with the longest period of service so far.

family

The Protestant Georg Hasenclever married Friederike Altgelt (born June 23, 1826 in Düsseldorf; died January 17, 1894 in Aachen) on October 1, 1851 in Düsseldorf, a daughter of the government councilor in Düsseldorf, Johann Hermann Altgelt (1795– 1871), and Laura Antonie, b. de Greiff (1798-1845). One of his grandchildren is the writer Walter Hasenclever . Georg Hasenclever's family grave at the Heissberg Cemetery in Aachen was created by the sculptor Karl Krauss .
