The 2004/05 season was the 14th season of the Latvian Ice Hockey League , the highest Latvian ice hockey league . Champion was for the third time in the history of the HK Riga 2000 club .

In the main round, the eight teams played 28 games each. All eight teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. For a win after regular time and after overtime each team received two points, for a defeat after overtime there was one point and for a defeat after regular time zero points.
