The Lignon du Forez (also: Lignon de Chalmazel ) is a river in France that runs in the Loire department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the municipal area of Jeansagnère , generally drains eastwards, through the historic province of Forez and flows 59 kilometers into the municipality of Feurs as a left tributary into the Loire .
Not to be confused with the Lignon du Velay river , which also flows into the Loire at Saint-Maurice-de-Lognon .
