Liliane Skalecki born Fontaine (born June 20, 1958 in Saarlouis ) is a German art historian and crime writer .

biography

As a child, Skalecki was often with relatives in France and had spent many holidays with his parents in the Midi and Brittany . After graduating from high school in 1978, she initially did a two-year bank apprenticeship. She then studied art history, classical and Near Eastern Archeology at the University of Saarbruecken and a doctorate in 1991 for Dr. phil. Until 2012 she worked as a freelancer, wrote chronicles and entrepreneur biographies, worked for an archive on the Saar area and organized exhibitions. Skalecki wrote seven detective novels with Biggi Rist for Gmeiner-Verlag. Since 2018 she has been working alone for Piper Verlag Munich under her maiden name Liliane Fontaine.

She is married to the state curator Georg Skalecki , who was appointed head of the State Office for Monument Preservation in Bremen in 2001. The couple has three children and has lived in Bremen since 2001 , temporarily near Nîmes in France.
