The Lind district is located in the southeast of Cologne , in the Porz district .

location

The district of Lind borders in the northeast with the district Grengel , in the southeast and south with Troisdorf-Spich , in the west with Libur in the north with Wahn and Wahnheide .

history

Lind was first mentioned in 1165. Since the Middle Ages, Lind has belonged to the Porz office in the Duchy of Berg . In 1795 the place was occupied by French revolutionary troops. Lind came to the Mairie Wahn in the canton of Mülheim in the arrondissement of Mülheim in the Rhin department. In 1815 the place came to the Kingdom of Prussia and in 1816 to the mayor's office of Wahn. Since 1929 Lind belonged to the Porz office and in 1932 to the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis. Lind has been part of the city of Cologne since 1975.
