Lisbeth Bischoff (born September 10, 1955 in Hohenems , Vorarlberg ) is an Austrian journalist and television presenter .

Life

After attending compulsory schools, Lisbeth Bischoff graduated from the evening trade academy for employed people in Bregenz in 1981 . She has been working for ORF since 1972 , initially in the ORF regional studio in Dornbirn ( ORF Vorarlberg ), and since 1988 in the ORF center on Küniglberg in Vienna .

Lisbeth Bischoff is a society journalist who conducted around 11,000 interviews by the end of 2003 for the newly launched program Seitenblicke . She also worked for the program Willkommen Österreich and its follow-up programs. For 30 years she reported from the Vienna Opera Ball . She conducted interviews and a. with Kevin Costner , Bryan Adams , Prince Albert of Monaco . She also became known on ORF as a presenter and designer of numerous live broadcasts lasting several hours at aristocratic weddings and changes of throne, such as B. in April 2013 the swearing-in of the Dutch King Willem-Alexander or in June 2014 the swearing-in of the Spanish King Felipe VI. The nobility weddings reported by Lisbeth Bischoff for ORF included those of William Mountbatten-Windsor and Catherine Middleton , Victoria and Daniel of Sweden and Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O'Neill .

In 2014 she was a candidate in the ORF show Dancing Stars and took fifth place with partner Gerhard Egger . Bischoff lives in Dornbirn .
In September 2018 she retired after 46 years and ten months at ORF.

Lisbeth Bischoff is the author and co-author of several non-fiction books, including a biography of Udo Jürgens , for which she conducted several conversations and interviews with the artist.
