Lisette-Josefine Thöne (born March 2, 1988 in Neuss ) is a sports soldier, a German bobsleigh athlete (2015 world champion) and a former athlete .

Career

athletics

Thöne began her sporting career at national level in the junior and U23 athletics squad in the long jump , 100 m and 60 meter run . At the junior national championships she competed in the long jump in 2006 and 2007 and at the German U23 championships from 2004 to 2008.

Bobsleigh

When Thöne retired from athletics in 2010, she gained a foothold in bobsleigh. She began professionally as a pusher in the two-man bobsleigh in the German national team and made her debut in November 2010 in the competition for the European Cup in Altenberg , which she won with Anja Schneiderheinze as a pilot. On December 2, 2011, she took part in the 2011/12 season in the World Cup in Igls , where she was also able to prevail against the opponents with Schneiderheinze. In the same season, Thöne also won the World Cup in St. Moritz . She won her second European Cup in Innsbruck-Igls in 2014/15.

Thöne was nominated as a reservist ( P accreditation ) for the German women's bobsleigh at both the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and the 2018 in Pyeongchang , but was not used in the competitions. At the 2013 World Championships in St. Moritz, she was able to achieve fifth place in the two-man bobsleigh. Together with Cathleen Martini , she won the gold medal in the two-man bobsleigh team competition at the 2015 World Championships in Winterberg .
