The list of architectural monuments in Lippstadt contains the listed buildings in the area of ​​the municipality of Lippstadt in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia . more pictures	Catholic parish church St. Josef , Lippstadt-Bad Waldliesborn	Bad Waldliesborn Parkstrasse / Beermannweg map	Bishop Johannes Poggenburg raised the Waldliesborn chapel district to parish rectorate in 1928. The parishioners decided to build a new church because the St. Paul Chapel at Kluse was too small. The Pauluskapelle was demolished in 1972. After a church collection in the parishes of the Münster diocese and a house collection in Westphalia, the necessary money was obtained. The architects Alexander Cazin and H. Lohmann planned the building in neo-baroque forms . The foundation stone was laid in 1929, and Bishop Poggenburg consecrated the building in 1930. The Renaissance pulpit from 1557 is noteworthy; it was formerly in the St. Paul's Chapel at the Kluse. The pulpit is popularly known as the “pulpit of the eight sinister men” because it is decorated with grim-looking figures, it has the shape of an octagonal beaker. 	Catholic parish church of St. Martin	Benninghausen Dorfstrasse map	The Catholic parish church is a former Cistercian church. The late Gothic hall church with four bays was reached from broken stone suitable for hammer, the choir closes with 5/8. The remains of a previous church were excavated in 1982, they were the foundations of a hall church without a tower, with a retracted choir. An oak crucifix, which was probably made in Cologne around 1070, is significant. Tendons are clearly visible in the slender body. 	former monastery building	Benninghausen Im Hofholz 6 map	The former monastery building now serves as a clinic building for the LWL. The baroque four-wing complex looks simple, the cloister in the north has been preserved. The building has been since 1822 as a nursing home, starting in 1933 as a wild KZ the SA used and since 1945 as a regional hospital. The building is plastered and given corner blocks. There is a portal in the roofed central projection of the northern facade. The blasted gable shows a coat of arms and the designations 1711 and 1721. The portal is accessed through an outside staircase. The carved staircase is marked 1725. A coat of arms for Abbess Anna Theodora von Kleinsorge is attached to the extension in the southwest. The building stands in a park that was laid out over 100 years ago, with over one hundred species of shrubs and trees, including twelve different types of maple. The utility buildings are located south of the moats, they are covered with mansard roofs. The manor house was built from 1759 to 1778 according to plans by Franz Christoph Nagel, the builder was Matthias Kitz. Short side wings adjoin the mansion and it is covered with a mansard roof. In 1935 it burned and the interior was seriously damaged. The destroyed roof was rebuilt in a different way. 	Catholic parish church of St. Dionysius	Bökenförde	The Catholic pilgrimage church is a stone basilica, it was built in the 12th century. The two-bay building with a tower, which was also erected in the 12th century, has a choir and apse. The chapel for the worship of the miraculous image was added to the aisle on the north side in 1521. The nave is accessed on both sides through arched portals. The walls of the aisles are structured by windows framed in a neo-Romanesque style. The four-story tower has biforias on the upper floors. Remains of Romanesque wall paintings on the Gurtbogen in the west are remarkable, they were restored in 1976. An octagonal font from 1583 looks unadorned. A previous wooden church is said to have stood at this point as early as 825, which was destroyed several times and also rebuilt. According to tradition, Emperor Karl is said to have seen the church in 777 on the way to the first Reichstag. After another renovation in 1782, an abbot of the Liesborn monastery consecrated the building. Above the entrance you can read in lapidary writing : Patro CInIo DIVI CLeMentIs NoVa SurreXI (I rose again under the patron saint of St. Clement. 1782 ).	1781 The post-Gothic plastered hall church with three bays closes on three sides, the Romanesque tower is low, its arched openings are partially walled up, it is covered with a pyramid roof. The walls of the simple building are divided by narrow double-lane windows and buttresses. The chronogram on the south portal is marked 1781, the portal is framed in a classical style. It stands on a wide courtyard, the complex includes the manor house, pavilions, the gatehouse and a barn. The manor house was built from 1720 to 1730 according to plans by Justus Wehmer; it is in the moat on three sides. The three-axis central projection is accessed through a gabled roof house. An outside staircase leads to the portal with a triangular gable. The two square pavilions were built in the first quarter of the 19th century, they are covered with mansard roofs. more pictures	Catholic Church of St. Michael	Lipperode	The building was erected in 1904 on the site of a previous church; the builder was Arnold Güldenpfennig. The neo-Gothic hall church with three bays closes with a 5/8 choir. The tower stands on the west side, the chapel and sacristy are built on the south side. The walls of the building made of Anröchter stone are structured by buttresses and tracery windows. In the interior, the central nave is vaulted with ribs, the side aisles are vaulted with groin. An extensive restoration took place in 1988. The baptismal font comes from the previous church, after a name it was donated in 1866. The carved crescent moon Madonna from oak is a work from the 15th century. more pictures	Marienkirche	Lippstadt	The Protestant Marienkirche is a two-bay late Romanesque stepped hall with a transept. The church tower is on the west side, two choir flank towers accompany the choir, closed on three sides, in the late Gothic style. On the north side are the sacristy and the chapel. Construction probably began shortly after the city was founded in 1184. According to a dendrochronological investigation, a beam in the northern flank tower dates from around 1200. The east section with the transept was consecrated by Bernhard II zur Lippe in 1222. The construction of the tower was completed in the second quarter of the thirteenth century. The hall ambulatory choir, the chapel and the sacristy were built from 1478 to 1506. During a restoration from 1964 to 1972, the floor in the ambulatory and in the nave was lowered back to the original level. At the same time, vault and wall paintings were uncovered, which were extensively restored from 1992 to 1997.	around 1200	Oct 10, 1985	3

The design for the church comes from the sculptor Albert Pehle (1874–1948) from Düsseldorf. The construction work was entrusted to the company H. Pehle from Lippstadt, the construction time was 15 months. The interior decoration began after World War II by the artist Schellhase from Neuhaus Castle (Paderborn).
