Gertrudenhof house Gertrudenhof house Gertrudenstrasse 10 The two-storey house with a mezzanine has a stepped base with exposed cellar windows. The central axis of the facade is emphasized by a flat risalit covered by a gable . Between the windows in the gable is a figure of St. Gertrude on a console. A cornice runs between the first and second floors. The lower buildings on the side are part of the farm buildings of the Vierkanthof.

The single farm was built on the forest and heather area that had been cleared, from which the Cologne broker Winand Guffanti had acquired a large part and laid it out as an estate in 1863. The estate was named Gertrudenhof in memory of Maria Gertrud, née Maria Gertrud, who died shortly after the foundation stone was laid. Chandler. After Guffanti's death in 1865, his son Anton Guffanti († 1904 and founder of the construction of the St. Johann Baptist Church ) took over the estate.
