In the list of architectural monuments in Plessa , all architectural monuments of the Brandenburg municipality of Plessa and its districts are listed. ( Location ) Village church The baroque hall with a central turret was built in 1739 on the site of a previously demolished wooden chapel. Almost abandoned to decay during the GDR era despite the existing monument protection, the church was extensively renovated and repaired in the early 1990s.

( Location ) Village church The Protestant church was built in 1811 in place of a wooden chapel that was previously destroyed in a fire. The inside is marked by a plaster ceiling and a horseshoe gallery. The sandstone baptism dates from the 17th century. An organ created in 1910 by the Liebenwerda organ builder Voigt is playable.

( Location ) Bertzit Tower The Bertzit Tower is an investment ruin in the north of Kahla. This was built in the 1920s in the immediate vicinity of the Ada lignite underground mine and was intended for lignite refinement. The 35 meter high industrial monument forms a landmark that is visible from afar in the lowlands of the Schwarzen Elster.

( Location ) Coal loading and sorting bunker with fragment of cable car bridge and remains of the branch track system The coal loading and sorting bunker, which once belonged to the Ada lignite mine, is now, together with the neighboring Bertzit tower, the remains of the local lignite industry.

( Location ) Village church The Protestant church was built in 1814. The sacristy is on the east side. The organ prospectus comes from the construction time, the still playable organ itself from 1890. It comes from the Schweidnitz organ building company Schlag & Söhne .

( Location ) power plant The Plessa power plant is one of the oldest lignite power plants in Europe, which has been preserved in its original structure. The power plant was commissioned in 1927. Four turbines generated 54 megawatts.

At the Elstermühle 1
( location )
Elstermühle The Elstermühle Plessa is a water mill on the Black Elster . The mill was first mentioned in a document in 1420. Originally, the water mill consisted of two mills, a cutting mill and a grain mill. It has an idle display system and a small museum, and there is also a small sawmill in the outbuilding.

Culture house The Plessa cultural center was built between 1955 and 1960. The striking building in the center of the village is still used as an event location. After the serious debate about tearing down the expensive building in 2009/2010, it has been renovated bit by bit with the help of donations. On its northern facade there are murals with motifs of agriculture and industry in sgraffito technique.

Relief depicting horses This relief attached to a house wall is a house sign . It depicts a family legend with a fleeing horse on which a naked woman is tied. The memorial was deleted from the list of monuments in 2019. BW
