In Eschweiler alone , 4 railway bridges, 12 road bridges and 8 pedestrian bridges lead across the Inde river , the length of which in the urban area is over 11 km.
The three-arch bridge was built in 1864, partially blown up (eastern pillar) in September 1944, provisionally repaired by US pioneers using a steel structure and rebuilt in 1950 (inauguration on August 31, 1950). The high-speed route Cologne – Aachen runs over them between Eschweiler Hbf and Stolberg (Rheinl) Hbf .

The Indebrücke at the southern exit of Weisweiler near the Weisweiler train station in the direction of Wilhelmshöhe and Hüächen was blown up in 1944, rebuilt from reinforced concrete in 1948 and renewed in 1982. It is a road and pedestrian bridge. Until 2006 it was part of the federal highway 264 .
