( Location )

Alt-Blankenburg  18 1945-1960 The “Zentral-Lichtspiele” cinema existed as a shop cinema from 1945 to 1960. In the post-war years, the outskirts of Berlin were primarily used for cultural institutions on the basis of an undamaged structure. The property forms the southeast corner of Alt-Blankenburg (formerly: Dorfstraße 1) with the Krugstege, the name of which refers to the location of the Dorfkrug (opposite the church in Angerdorf). In 1947 Elise Raabe's restaurant existed in the building. In 1959, next to the restaurant with the cinema, there was Otto Daniel's garage. The situation on this street corner was changed by the expansion of the road to Karow at the latest. When the jug walkways were widened from 10 meters to 20 meters at the height of the property, the street front was shortened by these 10 meters. Lot 18 is a no longer built fallow area. The cinema with its owner Artur Schock is named with 255 seats. In 1960/1961 it went into the administration of the VEB Berliner Filmtheater. The game was stopped in January 1960 and the building was cleared. Derelict land on the corner of No. 18
