location
The Forsthausstraße / Zum Alten Friedhof area, which encompasses the entire facility, is to be regarded as the historical center of Wissenbach. The area is characterized by regular buildings from the late 18th century. on the northern side of Forsthausstraße and along the northern part of the street Zum Alten Friedhof. It was probably created when the town was rebuilt after a village fire in 1773. However, there are also older buildings. Part of the overall facility is also the churchyard on the eastern edge of the village, the location of the old village church from 1750, which was destroyed in 1879. The church, newly built in 1893, is located south of the town center on a new thoroughfare connecting the villages of the Dietzhölztal.
