Eiershausen is a district of the municipality of Eschenburg in the Lahn-Dill district in Central Hesse .
geography
Eiershausen is in the northeast of the Lahn-Dill district. The place is at the exit of the narrow Schwarzbachtal , a side valley of the Dietzhölztal . It is embedded in the east by the wooded mountain slopes of the Gladenbacher Bergland , while the valley floor of the Simmersbachtal and the Dietzhölztal joins to the west .
The neighboring towns, starting clockwise from the north, are Simmersbach , Hirzenhain (both municipality of Eschenburg), Nanzenbach (town of Dillenburg ), Wissenbach and Eibelshausen (both municipality of Eschenburg).
The highest elevations in the Eiershausen district are:
- Gewänn (585 m above sea level)

history
Eiershausen was first mentioned in a document in 1342.
Territorial reform
In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , the Eschenburg community was founded on October 1, 1971 through the voluntary amalgamation of the communities Eibelshausen, Eiershausen and Wissenbach. Force state law were the communities Eschenburg Hirzenhain and Simmersbach and Roth of the former district Biedenkopf to advanced large village Eschenburg together . The entry into force took place on July 1, 1974 by the district president in Darmstadt. Local districts with local advisory boards and local councilors were established for all six districts .

Local advisory board
There is a five-member local council in Eiershausen . After the local elections in Hesse in 2016 , it consists of two members of the CDU and three members of the SPD. The mayor is Kai Eckert from the SPD.
Economy and Infrastructure
In Eiershausen there is a village community center and a sports field with natural grass . The place is primarily a residential community.
In 2009 the municipality of Eschenburg expanded the existing industrial park south of Eibelshausen in the direction of Eiershausen.
Since 1973 there has been a ski lift on the mountainside east of the village , operated by the ski club in the neighboring village of Hirzenhain.
traffic
Landesstraße 3043 runs through Eiershausen. Bundesstraße 253 (Dillenburg– Frankenberg ) is less than a kilometer away; It is about 12 km to the Dillenburg junction on Autobahn 45 .
education
There is a primary school and a kindergarten in the village .
Secondary schools can be attended in Eibelshausen ( cooperative comprehensive school ) and Dillenburg ( grammar school ).
