The following list contains the cultural monuments identified in the monument topography in the area of the municipality of Breitscheid , Lahn-Dill-Kreis , Hesse .

Note: The order of the monuments in this list is based first on the districts and then on the address; alternatively, it can also be sorted according to the name, the number assigned by the State Office for Monument Preservation or the construction time.

The basis is the publication of the Hessian list of monuments, which was created for the first time on the basis of the Monument Protection Act of September 5, 1986 and has been continuously updated since then.

Entire churchyard complex	Breitscheid, Kirchstrasse location	The churchyard is on a hill on the western edge of the village. The Protestant church is a medieval choir tower, the nave of which was expanded in the 1960s. The walling of the churchyard, which was used as a cemetery, is kept closed. Kirchstrasse leads to the entrance portal, which is framed by half-timbered buildings from the 18th and early 19th centuries. Together with the churchyard, these buildings form a small overall complex that demonstrates the close historical connection between churchyard and village. Einhaus Hüttenweg 4	Breitscheid, Hüttenweg 4 Location hallway: 2, parcel: 196	Elongated single house . A characteristic feature of half-timbered buildings of this time is the absence of any horizontal frame work; the stiffening is not done by struts, but by uprights placed at an angle between the frame and the sleeper. The living area is built in storeys, the barn has stands that extend over both floors. On the western gable a sheet metal cladding typical of the dill area. Half-timbered house Hüttenweg 9	Breitscheid, Hüttenweg 9 Location hallway: 2, parcel: 22	A large-volume, four-zone half-timbered building that was originally preserved on the upper floor. Old school	Breitscheid, Kirchstraße 11 Location floor: 1, parcel: 18	Gable-independent half-timbered building on the street leading to the churchyard. It is accessed from a small alley on the eaves side. Half-timbering from the time it was built is visible on the upper floor on the eaves side. Half-timbered house at Kirchstrasse 16	Breitscheid, Kirchstraße 16 Location hallway: 2, parcel: 219	Baroque half-timbered building on the gable with an important urban view of the churchyard. In the undisturbed original condition, the upper storey on the eaves side: stiffening man forms with twisted counter braces, a firebock as a partition and an unbroken series of parapet bars. Evangelical parish church	Breitscheid, Kirchstraße o. No. Location floor: 1, parcel: 3	Medieval choir tower in the middle of the churchyard that has been preserved with its walling. The tower with ogival openings on the lower floor, above with loopholes. The tower is closed by a retracted helmet roof. The ship adjoining it to the west has been modernized. The semicircular triumphal arch is accompanied by a baroque cuboid painting. Parts of a 14th century painting have been preserved in the chancel. Walled church and churchyard are cultural monuments. Particularly noticeable are the gables closing the long sides and central projections, each with a blind staircase and a rosette in the center of the gable. Strong shoulders on the gables and a final crown. The arched window openings still have the original muntin with iron profiles. The fountain stick is crowned here by a pine cone. The fountain in the street that climbs up to the churchyard, opposite the old school and the baroque half-timbered building Kirchstraße 16, is a cultural monument. The decorative shapes are remarkable: block friezes on horizontal members such as frames and roof beams, filler wood turned into angular shapes. Former rectory	Breitscheid, Rathausstraße 1 Location Village: 1 parcel: 60/1	Residential house with barn, both buildings built in quarry stone masonry. The two-storey structure of the residential building with a flat tent roof has an effect due to its strict cubature. Main front facing the street with three axes and symmetrically structured with central access. The building group, which can be dated to the third quarter of the 19th century, is a cultural monument due to its historical and artistic significance. The fountain troughs are identical to their imitations of curved fillings, each with a star-shaped decorative element in the middle. The octagonal wells differ in the design of the pommel that crowns them. Both the repetition of the same models and the variation of the decorative elements are typical of the design of these fountains. In addition to their historical value as a regional industrial product, they have an important "marking function" in the urban development context. 	Half-timbered barn in Denkmalstrasse 2	Erdbach, Denkmalstraße 2 Location hallway: 2, parcel: 119/50	Half-timbered barn, part of a two-sided courtyard, located directly opposite the church. It is of particular value due to the inscription dating from 1734 with the mention of the “builders and married people”. The three-zone building with stands extending over the entire floor height has been preserved unchanged. At the rear of the living area, parts of plastered plasterwork and a door from the 18th century have been preserved. 	Evangelical chapel	Erdbach, Denkmalstraße o. No. Location floor: 2, parcel: 35/2 + 7	Small Gothic building with a rectangular nave and a somewhat narrower, also rectangular choir. Both under a common gable roof. In the middle of the ship is a square roof turret with a pyramid roof. To the west is the new building of a community center. The churchyard wall is still largely preserved. There is a memorial in the area of the churchyard. In the nave, three-sided gallery on four baluster-like columns. On the gallery as well as on the walls and the ceiling of the originally cross-vaulted choir a rich painting by Ernst Justus Kayser, inscribed on the cornice of the gallery dated 1778. In each of the three walls of the choir there are pointed niches with late Gothic wall paintings depicting apostles are located. Pulpit from 1620. The floor in the choir with pebble paving in the shape of ears. The chapel with the wall around the churchyard is a cultural monument. The living part with symmetrical structure, the entrance in the middle with a two-flight flight of stairs, in the axis of the entrance a dwelling house. The courtyard demonstrates the continuity of a regional courtyard shape with the shape of the framework that is characteristic of the time, such as the transom offset. 	Half-timbered house Lindenstrasse 5	Erdbach, Lindenstrasse 5 position hallway: 2, plot: 54/1	What is remarkable about this two-storey, otherwise heavily modified half-timbered building is the offset of the storeys in the gable with a block frieze on the frame and threshold as well as filler wood turned into angular shapes. The basement level in Hausein, above it originally slate, high hipped roof with a central clock roof turret. Attractive situation due to the location on the Goldbach with an opening bridge, bank reinforcement and eight-sided pavilion, also made in Haustein. Gusternhain

The portal with sandstone posts, a two-winged iron gate with diagonal struts and complete the spearheads. In their design they correspond to the type common in the Dill area: eight or square fountain troughs with circumferential fluting or lattice-like relief with a closing flower frieze. If they ensured the water supply at the time of their installation, today they rhythmize the course of the street. Half-timbered house Hauptstrasse 12	Medenbach, Hauptstraße 12 Location hallway: 1, parcel: 15/1	Gable-independent half-timbered building in a bend in the main street at the south-eastern exit of the town, with a prominent urban development. Choir tower	Medenbach, in the village location hall: 2, parcel: 22	The early Gothic choir tower, which is joined by a modern, renovated nave is preserved. The tower is closed off by a pyramid-shaped helmet with four small pointed gables. The chancel is covered by a groin vault. The triumphal arch as well as the shield arches of the vault that form shallow niches are ogival. In the niches of the shield arches there are small remains of medieval wall paintings, in the southern one a representation of "Christ before Pilate". Running fountain	Rabenscheid, Weilburger Straße / corner of Zum Hofacker Location hallway: 5, parcel: 73/1	Cast iron running fountain with eight-sided fountain trough and eight-sided fountain column standing in the middle with originally four water pipes. Each side of the trough with a symmetrically formed tendril motif with a pair of birds. There are three other, comparable wells in the village that are also worth preserving. Protestant church	Rabenscheid, Zum Hofacker 14 Location floor: 5, parcel: 81	Located on the northern outskirts of the town in an urban planning manner. The medieval west tower, whose west corners are supported by sloping templates, is joined by a hall church built in 1767. The curly roof of the tower was built by Sckell in 1792 and replaced a pointed spire. The flat gable roof of the ship is hipped to the east, towards the three-sided conclusion.
