Karlssprudel | Outside the local place, Close Karl bubble 28 position hall: 5, plot: 235/3 |
The Karlsprudel was drilled by Karl-Ferdinand Broll in 1896 and quickly developed into one of the most famous German shipping wells. The St. Georgsquelle spring, which was purchased in 1914, is a rare example of the mineral water industry in the Lahn-Dill district. The company building from 1897/98 was expanded in 1907, 1925 and 1936 under Karl Georg Broll. The eaves-standing building is essentially characterized by rural, castle-like elements: central emphasis by a risalit with a curved gable and pair of bay windows, corner tower allegedly deliberately modeled on the Heidelberg castle . There are also some details of Art Nouveau (lettering, plaster). The renewed well socket has been preserved in the cellar. | 1896 |
