Historic center of Langenaubach (complete system)
location
The Langenaubach, located south of Haiger, first named as Ubach in 1347, was destroyed by fire in 1813. Only the church and a few individual buildings survived. The fire occurred at the time when Langenaubach belonged to the Grand Duchy of Berg as part of the "Department of Sieg". The reconstruction was carried out according to a plan by the Dillenburg building director Schrumpf. The layout of the town, which goes back to the planning at the time, is shaped by the Langenaubacher Strasse, which runs straight through the Aubach Valley. This is followed by a parallel street, which changes sides at the church on the main street that survived the fire, due to the location of the Aubach. In this way a town center was created, which was determined by a prominent building and the design of the town plan. This expresses the routine work by the planners with the adaptation of the schematic notions of order to the local conditions. The building type of the reconstruction was the frameless half-timbered house. The buildings in Langenaubacher, Schultheissstrasse and Bachstrasse are at the eaves; on the short cross streets there are staggered gable-independent buildings. The character of the reconstruction becomes particularly clear in the Schultheißstraße (groups of buildings on the eaves) and in the Läbachstraße (staggered buildings on the sloping terrain). Together with Langenaubacher Strasse and Bachstrasse, the two streets form, due to their historical significance, as a uniform local planning of the early 19th century. Designated overall facility Langenaubach. The cast-iron fountains in Schultheissstrasse, Langenaubacher Strasse and Querstrasse are particularly valuable components of the townscape, which is worth preserving. Also of importance is the open course of the Aubach, which marks the south-eastern boundary of the town and thus also that of the entire complex. 132870

Historic center of Haiger (entire complex)
location
The center of the entire Haiger facility is the Ev. Parish church, a core Romanesque building that was built at the beginning of the 16th century. was redesigned to a hall longhouse. Several stairways lead to the church, which is located on a formerly fortified hilltop and the churchyard surrounding it: from the upper main street and from the market square or Frigghof. On the stairways there are important buildings that are also to be protected as cultural monuments: on the stairway from Frigghof the rectory, from the market square the stately half-timbered building Marktplatz 2 (18th century) and from the main street further half-timbered buildings around 1700 that are currently are still clad or plastered. In addition to the Kirchberg and its immediate surroundings, only the main street and the parallel Isabellenstraße have survived from the time of the fortified city complex. The upper section of the main street arches around the Kirchberg. The historically valuable buildings erected in closed perimeter development range from around 1700 through the early 19th century (Hauptstrasse 92/94) to the turn of the last century (Hauptstrasse 82). With the abandonment of the city fortifications in 1824, the city was reorganized and expanded. Starting from the market square below the Kirchberg, a regular road network was designed, which was continued on the right side of the Aubach. Another expansion of the city, albeit of a smaller size, has been carried out beyond the Upper Gate. The buildings from this period, 1st half of the 19th century. shows some stately type buildings with farm buildings such as Marktplatz 3 or Obertor 3 on Marktplatz and Obertor; in the other areas, more modest arable bourgeois properties dominate (e.g. Burgstrasse). With the medieval settlement core of the Kirchberg, parts of the early modern city along the main street and areas of the city expansion in the early 19th century, the entire complex occupies historically significant sections in Haiger's urban development. 132817

Historic town center Oberroßbach (entire complex)
Historic town center Oberroßbach (entire complex)
location
North of Haiger, Ober-Roßbach lies between the two ridges Struth and Haincher Höhe, at the confluence of the Rombach and the Roßbach. The place mentioned for the first time in 1355 still shows the condition of an irregularly built clustered village, the structure of which mainly dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries. The village is still clearly legible as a delimitable entity. The entrances to the south-west and north-east are characterized by historical buildings. The southern outskirts are particularly attractive and also valuable as a historical form of town delimitation; Gardens here form the transition to the Roßbach. As already mentioned, rural buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries are characteristic of the town's interior. Typical is the mix of different courtyard forms such as single-house farms, L-shaped courtyard rides, free-standing residential buildings and barns. In the interior of the townscape, on the one hand the main road following the Roßbachtal with a largely closed-looking perimeter development and on the other hand the Rombach running transversely to it are of particular importance. The Rombach is accompanied by paths, its course is partly framed by buildings on the eaves. Due to the uniform origin of the buildings that have been preserved and the particularly typical characteristics of the type of village described, the entire town center of Ober-Roßbach is historically significant and has therefore been designated as an overall complex. The latter is also characterized by the variety of its building types: in addition to the rural properties, the baroque church, a forge, a bakery and a quarry stone bridge have been preserved. 132886

The late medieval town of Sechshelden burned down almost completely during the Seven Years' War in 1759. The reconstruction plan provided for the construction of separate houses and barns in different rows in order to ensure greater fire safety in the future. The new building of the church should take place outside of the local situation. Because of the Seven Years' War, the reconstruction got off to a slow start. In 1793 a supplementary plan was drawn up: the separation between the house and the barn was reversed, and the residents found it uncomfortable. The ground plan of the place is still characterized today by the regular lines of the rebuilt village. However, there is only a few places where there is an undisturbed historical structure. Of particular interest is Dillstrasse, which documents the realization of a Scheunengasse. This area, which is unique in the Dill district, was designated as a complete complex due to its historical significance. 132916

location
Haigerseelbach, first mentioned in the 15th century, burned down completely in 1769 with the exception of a few buildings on the outskirts. The citizens affected initially bought houses and barns on their own initiative for demolition. Captain v. Pfau subsequently drew up a reconstruction plan, which provided for four parallel building lines, angled according to the terrain, with a separation between the residential and barn lines. The separation between the house and the barn could not be enforced. However, in the single houses that were then built, the stables were no longer accessible from the house, and the living and barn parts were separated by a fire-protected wall. No building supervision was carried out during the rest of the reconstruction, so that an exact implementation of all reconstruction regulations (construction of straw and clay clapboard roofs, stone chimneys) was not checked. In the current stock it can be seen: the single house as the predominant type, mostly with later subdivisions, the inconsistency of the half-timbered configurations due to the lack of building supervision and - as a special quality - the angled rows of buildings following the terrain. The entire complex, which has been identified due to its historical significance, includes these rows of buildings. The condition of the buildings largely corresponds to the original, so that the documentary quality relates not only to the overall layout of the site, but also to the substance of the individual buildings. 132858
