Villa Brachmann | Starenweg 18 (map) |
1902-1903 | picturesque country house architecture in an unusual design with rustic quarry stone masonry, architect: Raymund Brachmann, Leipzig, local history, architectural history and artistic importance.
The unusual villa building was carried out in 1902/03 according to plans by the Leipzig architect Raimund Brachmann (building application 1901). The client was Elisabeth Schulze, née. Haunstein, who soon became Brachmann's wife. Two-storey building, the ground floor largely clad with quarry stone, the upper storey conceived as part of the high, broken roof, the roof area originally with slate cladding, turrets emphasizing the south-east corner, and a terrace on the south side of the building, which also includes the turret and part of the east side (today partially built up). On the north side, there was also a two-storey extension that was connected to the main building through the entrance. Few remains of original equipment inside. The villa is an exemplary and documentary reference to the work of Raimund Brachmann, who was one of the most innovative master builders in Leipzig and beyond at the beginning of the 20th century. It shows how the architect orientated himself to trendsetting trends in American and English architecture. As a distinctly individually shaped architect's house from 1900, it is a building that goes well beyond the general dimensions in terms of design. Since Brachmann also lived here in his later years, the building also keeps the memory of its builder alive in a special way. From this point of view, villa construction is of great architectural and artistic importance. It is also a testimony to Waldsteinberg's development into a summer residence for wealthy Leipzig citizens. |

Water tower | Kirchberg 17 (next to) (map) |
1911-1913 | A technical monument that characterizes the townscape, with its passage at the same time forms access to the churchyard, of importance in terms of supply and local history.
The water tower on the Kirchberg, built in 1911–13 based on a design by Brandiser Walter Gralapp by the Leipzig civil engineer Arthur Bunde, shapes the appearance of Beucha. With the involvement of the Saxon Homeland Security Association, it was designed as an octagonal tower modeled on a donjon. Its square base is designed as a gateway to the churchyard. A pent roof supported by monolithic granite columns from the Beucha quarry mediates between the terrain rising towards the church and the 27-meter water tower. Small, unframed windows and a slightly exposed cornice structure the simple, gray plastered facade. The flat tent roof is closed off by a copper-covered lantern. Until about 1952 the tower served as a water supply for the towns of Beucha, Kleinsteinberg, Wolfshain and Albrechtshain. Its steel Barkhausen container, which is open at the top and has a capacity of 100 m³, has been preserved, as has the cast-iron spiral staircase that enables it to be accessed from the inside. As a testimony to the early communal water supply at the beginning of the 20th century, the water tower is of importance in the history of supply and technology. At the same time, it has a defining character. (LfD / 2017) Five-storey water tower on an octagonal floor plan with a tent roof and small lantern and knob, ground floor on a rectangular floor plan, as a round-arched gate passage to the cemetery, courtyard-side roofing with a pent roof on four pillars, on the street-side with bossed ashlar framed round-arched gate opening, above three small arched windows, wooden eaves. |

Residential house, pull-out house, side building, barn, courtyard paving and street-side enclosure wall with gate passage and gate to a three-sided courtyard | Kleinsteinberger Strasse 69 (map) |
around 1800 | old locality Kleinsteinberg, partly half-timbered, partly solid buildings, plastered, well-preserved and typical regional farm that characterizes the street scene, of importance in terms of building history and local history.
Three-sided courtyard in regional and time-typical construction, consisting of a residential house, pull-out house, side building and barn, the street-side enclosure wall with gate entrance and gate as well as the courtyard pavement complete the historical building stock. Residential house, built around 1800: two-storey, ground floor solid in quarry stone, upper floor half-timbered with brick infill, plastered overall, probably a slightly younger side, mansard roof. Side building adjoining the house, probably first half of the 19th century, plastered quarry stone masonry, eaves and gable in brick, facing part of the stable with vault on natural stone pillars, then supports in cast iron, saddle roof. Pull-out house on the eastern side of the courtyard: according to information, dating in the roof 1748, two-storey residential stable with two parallel barrels, ground floor solid, upper floor half-timbered, plastered overall, stable part with Prussian caps on iron pillars, crooked hip roof, on the outside extension of a large storage cellar with barrel vault. Barn: around 1890, two-door, plastered quarry stone masonry, upper gable area and eaves in brick. Enclosure on the street side: wall, plastered, originally with two gate entrances, wall pillars with spherical attachments, people gate closed with a rounded arch. Court pavement: Wild pavement in natural stone. The largely authentically preserved courtyard complex in its grown structure is a testimony to the rural building and way of life in the 19th century on the spot and in the region. With its historical building stock, the Dreiseithof exemplifies the structural development, characteristics and function of a rural economy in the past. He embodies an important informative value on the home and building history. It was once the largest farm in the village, and the importance associated with it is evidently expressed in the unusual appearance of the house with a mansard roof. (LfD / 2013)

Residential stable house, two side buildings, barn, courtyard paving, Göpelbahn (on the back of the barn), wash house and fencing with gate system of a three-sided courtyard | Street of Unity 4 (Map) |
1799/1800 dendro | Half-timbered house with half-hipped roof, side building and barn, solid buildings in quarry stone and brick masonry, of local and architectural importance.
Three-sided courtyard in regional and time-typical construction, consisting of residential stable house, two side buildings and barn, enclosure, courtyard paving and Göpelbahn as well as the former wash house complete the historical building stock. The largely authentically preserved courtyard complex in its grown structure is a testimony to the rural building and way of life in the 19th century on the spot and in the region. The historical building stock of the Dreiseithof documents the structural development, characteristics and function of a rural economy in the past. The property thus embodies an important informative value about the home and building history. Stable house (dendrodaten winter 1799/1800), side building and barn a little more recent (mid to second half of 19th century), some later changes.
