Marked 1864 | Triangulation column and surrounding railing; 2nd order station, significant in terms of surveying history; As an identical point, the column is still part of current trigonometric networks. It consists of a stone that is octagonal (partly broken) at the bottom and cylindrical at the shaft. The inscription "Station / SPITZBERG / der / Kön: Sächs: / Triangulirung / 1864" is very well preserved, whereby the abbreviation Kön for "Royal" was chiseled out, but was added in 2010. The writing points to the south. The broken-off remains of the former height bolt are still visible on the cylinder shaft. Two eccentric fixtures have been preserved on the plateau. Due to the exposed location, there is a clear all-round view. |
