List of cultural monuments in Bertsdorf-Hörnitz

The list of cultural monuments in Bertsdorf-Hörnitz contains all the cultural monuments of the Saxon community of Bertsdorf-Hörnitz that were recorded by the State Office for Monument Preservation of Saxony by September 1, 2017 (excluding archaeological cultural monuments). The notes are to be observed.

This list is a partial list of the list of cultural monuments in the district of Görlitz .

From the 16th century The whole church, churchyard and cemetery extension with the following individual monuments: Church, all tombs (28) in the churchyard, memorial for the fallen of World War I on the church wall, mortuary and enclosure wall with four gate entrances, the cemetery entrance gate opposite the churchyard and all wrought iron grave enclosures on the Cemetery (see individual monuments at the same address - Obj. 09273171) as well as the cemetery with old trees and cemetery with cemetery design as a whole (garden monuments); Together with the adjacent vicarage ensemble of architectural, local history and local significance.

New building according to Riss by Andreas Klengel (the model was the old church from 1518), single-nave, 5/10 end, strapless cross vaults, two circumferential, wooden galleries, simple exterior, integrated west tower, octagonal above roof height, with a delicate Baroque hood, a stair tower on each side with spiral staircase (access to the galleries), ogival gothic tracery windows. Altarpiece: wood, 1689, modified. Pulpit: 1696 (Christian Bürger and Johann Konrad Edelwehr / Zittau). Organ case from 1751. Church yard: surrounded by wall, with portal from the 17th century, grave monuments from the 18th century.

1672–1676 (church); 1689 (altarpiece); 1696 (pulpit); 1751 (organ brochure) Individual monument of the whole church with churchyard and cemetery extension; together with the adjacent parsonage ensemble of architectural, local and local significance.

First arched wall pillar church in Upper Lusatia, built in 1672–76 based on the previous building, which burned down in 1672, from 1518 after Riss by Andreas Klengel from Dresden, exemplary for the churches in Hainewalde, Spitzkunnersdorf, Niederoderwitz and Eibau (all in the former Löbau-Zittau district). 1898 Renewal of the organ gallery. Plaster construction with 5/10 end. Stately, half-retracted west tower, octagonal above the level of the gable roof and closed with a hood. A stair tower on each side with access to the galleries. Provided the church with Gothic tracery windows. Spacious, groin-vaulted church with openwork pillars and pilasters in front of it, as well as a wooden double gallery that also surrounds the chancel. The ornamental paintings on the galleries are still original. Wooden altarpiece, inscribed 1689. The altarpiece from 1895 with the depiction of the Last Supper by Wilhelm Walther from Dresden, framed by a pair of twisted columns with vines. The columns are accompanied by ornate swellings that lead to the extension. Above it two putti with a plaque. - Hexagonal wooden pulpit with twisted columns, dated 1696, by Christian Bürger and Johann Konrad Edelwehr from Zittau. The sound cover is richly ornamented. - Hexagonal baptism by master plumber Weber from Herrnhut, after 1844. - The organ by Schuster from Zittau, 1898, housing by Johann G. Janitius, 1751. Cemetery enclosed by a wall, the eastern cemetery gate with a round arched passage and fluted walls and pointed roof 1574 and 1728 (renovation).

Three-storey building with corner tower, stair tower, two multi-storey, vase-crowned volute gables on each of the long sides, one on each of the narrow sides. The stronger corner tower on the lowest floor with a cross vault. Both towers octagonal with Welschen hoods. Inside changed several times. To the north, a patchy avenue of fruit trees leads up to the hill, at the end and highest point of which there is a monument to the last landowner, Mr. von Sandersleben, surrounded by old blue spruces. 09271462

Neo-Gothic church, built by Theodor Quentin in 1900/01. Single-aisle building with 5/8 end and gable roof. West tower with entrance hall and ogival column portal, above large rose window. The strikingly high tower ends in an octagonal pyramid roof. The structure of the wall surfaces is characterized by buttresses and blocks. The interior with a grooved, flat wooden beam ceiling and a central mirror, in it a depiction of an angel procession with psalter and harp, praising the Christian faith, by Johann Bernhard Reinboth from Dresden. A surrounding wooden gallery on three sides. Altar window with the depiction of Christ blessing and the evangelists, from the Türcke glass workshop in Zittau. The furnishings from the time it was built. Limestone altar with crucifixion group, the clay figures designed by the sculptor Konrad Hentschel from Meißen. - Wooden pulpit with clay reliefs showing the evangelists and the healing of the blind. Organ by Schuster, 1901.

Wood furnishings compare Johanniskirche Meißen, galleries, organ prospectus incomplete, organ pipes melted down during the war, in the choir originally a heavenly vault (not originally renovated), altar figures originally plaster white on a black background (originally gray / white paint), original benches, baptismal font and windows, one original candlestick, Luther sculpture, facade: brick and sandstone ornamentation.

1751 Individual monument belonging to the knight estate Neuhörnitz; later use of the manor as a brewery, of architectural and local significance. Neuhörnitz Castle, built in 1751 by the merchant Gottfried Hering from Zittau, expanded into a brewery with an inn in 1867. Simple, two-storey, four-axis structure with a mansard hipped roof. The middle two axes are accentuated by a diaphragm with a triangular gable. - Changed the inside. The farm buildings surrounding the castle from the 18th and 19th centuries.
