The following list sorts countries according to the mean age at birth at the last determinable point in time. The median gestational age is a woman's age at first birth in the median on. The higher the mean age at birth, the later women have children. According to the CIA World Factbook, the median birth age ranges from 31 years in South Korea to 17.9 years in Chad , the only country where women are minors at the time of birth.
