Special features at entry, discounts

Most Paris museums are open on weekends, closed on Mondays or Tuesdays, and some public holidays. The majority are open one evening a week until late (often Thursday). In the city's museums (Ville de Paris, SP), entry to the permanent collections is free every day. The state museums are free on the first Sunday of each month (N). Some museums offer free entry on other days of the week. In all cases, however, the price reductions always apply to admission to the permanent collection and not to exhibitions . For children, students, the unemployed and pensioners, special admission prices apply throughout. For young people between the ages of 18 and 25 who are resident in the European Union , the permanent exhibitions of the state museums are free, like everywhere in France.
