This is a list of major cities in Cambodia .
By far the largest agglomeration in Cambodia is Phnom Penh with a population of 2,885,590 (as of January 1, 2005, including the surrounding area). This means that around 20 percent of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region.
The table shows the cities with more than 7,000 inhabitants, the results of the census of March 3, 1998, an estimate for January 1, 2005 and the higher-level administrative unit ( province ) to which the city belongs. The capital Phnom Penh is independent and does not belong to any province. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
