The Oppenberg processional path consists of a total of six, similarly designed, late Baroque (?) Pillar shrines along the road from Rottenmann to Oppenberg. The pillars each have a tent roof and a segmented arch niche and date from the 18th or early 19th century. The wayside shrines are likely to have been part of a former processional path to the pilgrimage church in Oppenberg . Of the six wayside shrines, the first ( location ) and the sixth ( location ) are under monument protection.

The wayside shrines 2 ( position ), 3 ( position ), 4 ( position ) and 5 ( position ) are not protected .

Note: The coordinates refer to the 6th wayside shrine at plot number 565/1.

The history of the church goes back to a Romanesque church building from the first half of the 13th century. Gothic and Baroque construction phases were realized later. In 1398 the pastor donated a tower clock, one of the first in Styria. In 1881, after the town fire, the church was given an 87.8 meter high neo-Gothic tower, which was the highest church tower in Styria for ten years.

The Church of the Resurrection in Rottenmann, consecrated in 1958, serves the parish, which has existed since 1906 and which has around 900 believers. The organ, built between 1900 and 1906, was previously located in the Protestant prayer room in Grünbühel Castle.

The church was built in 1042 as the first Rottenmann parish church (Alt-Rottenmann) in the Romanesque style. The positive organ from 1722 is worth mentioning. Up until the 1950s, St. Georgen was the destination of pilgrims from neighboring parishes ( Lassing proves ), who held a procession on St. George's Day to Rottenmann .

Around 1350 the property was expanded into a mansion for aristocracy and was owned by the Barons von Hofmann from 1551, and from 1636 to 1850 by the Admont Abbey . The current building was created through renovations in the 17th and 18th centuries, a stone portal with the inscription 1782 has been preserved.

The Calvary, originally completed in 1767, with a wooden crucifixion group, has three stations in addition to the 14 actual stations. The Stations of the Cross were repainted in 1988 by Oswald Krammer .
