The following list of Württemberg military associations gives an overview of all associations from the regiment of the armed forces of the Kingdom of Württemberg during the First World War , sorted according to their type, including their location, their founding and their dissolution.
Army Corps
With the military convention of 1870, the Württemberg troops became part of the German Imperial Army . They were combined in an army corps in 1871 and included in the Prussian numbering. During the First World War, the Württemberg troops were never deployed as a closed unit, but were distributed among different army groups or army corps.

Divisions
Since 1871 the Württemberg army was divided into two divisions. With the beginning of the war, two more reserve divisions were mobilized in August 1914. A total of eight other divisions were set up during the war.

Cavalry brigades
In peacetime there were two active cavalry brigades. At the beginning of the war one of them was dissolved and re-erected in 1918. The other cavalry brigade existed until 1918.

Artillery brigades
Two more artillery brigades were set up during the first year of the war and strengthened the existing, active brigades. By mid-1917, all artillery brigades were disbanded and artillery commanders were formed, who were assigned the command of all artillery units in a division.

Infantry regiments
In addition to the ten active infantry regiments, ten more were mobilized in August 1914. In the course of the war their number grew steadily, so that at the end of the war there were 36 in the field.

Cavalry regiments
In 1914 there were four cavalry regiments. There was no unified deployment of the units, but the individual squadrons were divided into different divisions. During the trench warfare they mainly took over surveillance and patrol services in the rear areas or were used as infantry after surrendering their horses. During the mobilization in August 1914, a reserve regiment was set up.

Artillery regiments
In 1914, the Württemberg artillery consisted of four active regiments. In August 1914, two more were mobilized as planned. The number of regiments increased to thirteen by the end of the war.
