List of German private health insurers
This list of German private health insurers gives an overview of the private health insurances (PKV) that are providers in Germany, including premium income and the number of insured persons. The premium income does not have to correspond to the total turnover , which also includes other donations and income, for example from financial investments. The table also shows how many complaints about an insurance company have been received by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). The number of complaints is to be assessed in relation to the number of insured persons.

According to the statistics of the General Association of the German Insurance Industry , there were a total of 47 private health insurers in 2015, of which 24 were stock corporations (AG) and 23 mutual insurance associations (VVaG). In 2015, 8,787,300 people were fully insured and 24,770,100 people had additional insurance.
