List of Canadian poets
This is a list of Canadian poets . Inevitably there will be an overlap with the list of Canadian writers . Their necessity arises from the fact that some Canadian poets predominantly cultivate the long poem and are therefore inaccurately assigned to the Canadian writers. In addition, since the 1960s, particularly through the influential Canadian poetry magazine TISH , there have been various cross-connections and migrations in both directions between American poets of the west coast and the Black Mountain Poetsand Canada, which were reinforced by the Vietnam War, so that a number of poets of both nationalities and regardless of their place of residence or citizenship are included. This list includes both English-speaking and French-speaking authors from Canada .
