List of changes due to the reform of the Calendarium Romanum Generale in 1969

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The following list contains the holy festivals that were relocated by the reform of the Calendarium Romanum Generale as part of the liturgical reform in 1969 (postponements of more than eight days in bold ). Some celebrations were moved away from Lent or Advent , others were repositioned for other reasons, partly to correspond more closely to the historical day of death (then marked with * below ). The basic order of the church year and the Roman general calendar were approved on February 14, 1969 by the Motu proprio Mysterii paschalis and entered into force on January 1, 1970. This list contains both the postponed dates of the Roman calendar and the dates of the regional calendar for the German-speaking area .
