The Liverpool 08 Open 2006 took place for the first time from May 1-7, 2006 in Liverpool , United Kingdom . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2005/06 and belonged to the Super Series Silver category . It was endowed with $ 78,000.

Thierry Lincou defeated David Palmer in the final with 3:11, 10:12, 11: 5, 11: 8 and 11: 8.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 32 players, eight of which were reserved for qualifiers. The 16 best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Alex Stait a spot in the main draw.
