criticism

Due to his controversial behavior in dealing with certain topics and his role in relation to his main young demographics, Paul is under regular criticism.

On December 31, 2017, Logan Paul published a video on his YouTube channel in which he and other YouTubers visit the Aokigahara , a forest known as the "suicide forest". He wanted to spend 24 hours there with his friends as part of an “overnight challenge”. They discovered a corpse, let the cameras run and showed pictures of the defaced person. The video reached over 6 million views on YouTube until Logan Paul personally deleted it after heavy criticism, although the platform operators themselves removed the video after a short time on YouTube. On Twitter, the YouTuber apologized to his fans and the relatives of the victim in a video message. The action sparked a debate about moderation on social networks, and he himself took a short break.

In February 2018, Logan Paul came under fire after he took a carp out of the water in a video and imitated a chest compressions on it until it suffocated. He also shot a dead rat several times with a stun gun, whereupon the animal welfare organization PETA accused him of cruelty to animals.

In January 2019, Logan Paul announced that he wanted to "be gay for a month", which led to violent reactions in the LGBT * community. The reason for this is his portrayal that homosexuality is a choice - a prejudice that gays around the world struggle with. Such an action, so many LGBT * s, endanger the acceptance that has been built up over many years.
