Designer (2018)

Desiigner (* 3. May 1997 in Brooklyn , New York City , New York as Sidney Royel Selby III ) is an American rapper and songwriter , who in 2016 with his single panda international notoriety gained.

Life

Desiigner grew up in Bedford-Stuyvesant , a neighborhood in the Brooklyn borough of New York . He sang in the school and church choir . He started rapping when he was 14 .

Desiigner signed a contract with Kanye West's label GOOD Music in February 2016 . In the song Pt. 2 by Kanye West, Desiigner released the single Panda at the end of December 2015 , which earned him a lot of publicity. After the re-release of the song in February 2016, Panda reached the top of the US charts at the end of April 2016 and was also able to enter the German-language charts.

He is the grandson of the Berlin- based blues musician Sidney Selby .

In mid-August 2017 he announced that his debut album The Life Of Desiigner will be released soon. At the same time the cover was released.
