Lontas is an East Timorese suco in the Lolotoe administrative district ( Bobonaro municipality ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Lontas had an area of ​​19.81 km². Now it is 25.46 km². The Suco is located in the north of the administrative office of Lolotoe. Suco Deudet is to the southeast , Lebos to the southwest and Gildapil to the east . To the north is the Suco Leber (administrative office Bobonaro ). The border with Deudet is partly formed by the Silac and Pa rivers . The Silac later flows into the Ruiketan , the Pa into the Loumea .

At the border with Deudet, the road from Lolotoe splits . A road leads west through the south of Lontas, later it turns south to Taroman and Suai . The village of Piron is on the road on the border with Lebos . The other road goes north across the center of Sucos to Oeleo . The places Ozo and Halimutin lie on it . To the west of the road is the village of Tasmil ( Tas Mil) . There are primary schools in Piron and Ozo ( Escola Primaria Lontas )

In the Suco are the three Aldeias Ozo , Piron and Tasmil .

Residents

612 inhabitants live in the Suco (2015), of which 295 are men and 317 women. The population density is 24.0 inhabitants / km². There are 138 households in the Suco. Over 90% of the residents state Bunak as their mother tongue. About 5% speak Tetum Prasa .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Emilio Cardoso was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Ernesto da Costa .
