The Loumea ( Ribeira Loumea , Rio Loumea , Mota Loumea ) is an East Timorese river that flows through the municipalities of Bobonaro and Cova Lima .

Ilsa, a tributary of the Loumea from Mount Tapo seen

The Loumea arises from two rivers that arise in the Suco Carabau . It flows first to the west and forms the border between the Sucos Bobonaro and Lourba , after the tributary of the Mabesi (the border river between Lourba and Malilait ) between Bobonaro and Malilait. Then the Loumea swings south, crosses Bobonaro and becomes the border river between the Sucos Ai-Assa and Lour .

The Laco rises in the border area between the Sucos Ai-Assa and Oeleo . The Masi flows into it , the border river between the Sucos Tapo and Leber , into which the Ilsa from Tapo also flows. After the Laco Ai-Assa has flowed through to the east, it flows into the Loumea, which is now the border river between the Sucos Lour and Sibuni .

The Lelepo rises in Leber and flows southeast. It flows into the River Pa , which rises in the border area between the Sucos Lontas and Deudet and flows further east, along the border between Leber and Guda . After the mouth of the Lelepo, the Pa follows part of the border between Guda and Molop before crossing Molop and finally reaching Loumea. This is where the Bemutin , the border river between Lour and Zulo, flows into the Loumea. From here, the Loumea follows the border from Zulo to Molop, later between Tashilin and Molop. Following the border between Tashilin and Beco, the Loumea leaves the municipality of Bobonaro for good and begins its crossing from Cova Lima. Coming from Beco the Zola flows into the Loumea. Shortly before the mouth of the Loumea, a small river flows eastwards, just following the coast. It has its own mouth, but in the rainy season it also reaches the Loumea with a tributary.
