Deudet ( Deudat ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Lolotoe ( Bobonaro municipality ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Deudet had an area of ​​34.74 km². Now there are 26.56 km². The Suco is located in the center of the Lolotoe Administrative Office. Suco Opa is to the south, Lupal to the southeast , Guda to the east , Lontas to the northwest and Lebos to the west . In the north, Deudet borders the Suco Leber ( Bobonaro administrative office ). In the southwest, across the border river Ruiketan, lies the Suco Holpilat ( Maucatar administrative office , Cova Lima municipality ). The Silac , which forms the border with Lebos, flows into it. The Pa flows along the border with Lontas and Leber. Later it flows into the Loumea .

The settlement center of Lolotoe extends to the west of the Sucos Deudet. The towns of Bou-Tal ( Boutal ) and Oe-Laca ( Oelaka ) belong to it . In the south is the village of Oburo ( Aburo ), in the north Itililig and in the northeast the places Holak , Tepu ( Tepa ) and Tesigele . There are primary schools in Oe-Laca ( Escola Primaria Deudet ), Tepu and Oburo. There is a school in Oe-Laca to prepare for secondary school. A country road begins in Lolotoe and runs northwest through Deudet. At the border with Lontas it splits in two directions. One road goes west, later south to Taroman and Suai , the other road goes north to Oeleo .

In the Suco are the three Aldeias Bou Valley , Gole and Oe-Laca .

Residents

The Suco has 454 inhabitants (2015), of which 219 are men and 235 are women. The population density is 17.1 inhabitants / km². There are 91 households in the Suco. More than 95% of the residents state Bunak as their mother tongue. Small minorities speak Tetum Prasa , Tetum Terik , Kemak and Mambai .

history

In May 1999, when the independence referendum was being prepared in East Timor , Indonesian troops and pro-Indonesian militias occupied Deudet and Opa and began to terrorize the population. Only the arrival of UNAMET ended the suffering of the population.

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Rogerio Belo was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Justino Afonso .
